Welcome to
the Tibetan buddhist Ngakpa community. The inception of the Buddhist
organization Nyernga Ngakde took place in Nepal, when the first Nyernga
Ngakde center, Drubde Nyernga Thugtsel Ling, was founded by Lopon Ugyen
Rinpoche.
Lopon
Ugyen Rinpoche is a Lama of the Amdo Ngakpa tradition, an ancient,
non-monastic tradition within Vajrayana Buddhism. Their practice lies
between the two extremes of worldly immersion and complete
renunciation. As Ngakpas often practice Yogas inwardly, while involved
in daily life activities, they transform the poisons of samsara into
fuel, on the path of practice and higher realizations .
The
Yogas of the Ngakpas have become one of the most popular Buddhist
practices in Western society because they are designed to accomodate
anyone who wishes to practice the Dharma, regardless of their age,
education, gender or position in society.
As
an international organization, Nyernga Ngakde has branches which
operated in Europe, the United States, and Canada.
Under
the guidance of Lopon Ugyen Rinpoche members of Nyernga Ngakde
cultivate their spiritual development through traditional practice and
meditation. Nyernga Ngakde works to build an enlightened community to
help people transcend their fixed material lives.
Nyernga
Ngakde members come together to receive philosophical and spiritual
teachings, participate in regular group meditation and Pujas, and study
Tibetan language, music, and ceremonial ritual.
