Ugyen Rinpoche

Ugyen Rinpoche is a Tibetan-born Lama and lineage holder of the non-monastic Nyingma School of Tibetan Buddhism. In addition to his Buddhist education, he completed a doctorate in Western medicine. He has been living and teaching in the West for many years and knows how to teach the Dharma accordingly while preserving the traditional roots of Buddhism.

Studies und Practice

In his study and practice centers in Europe and North America, Ugyen Rinpoche teaches the ancient wisdom texts as well as the art of tantric ritual. He is dedicated to the further development of his students on the path of wisdom and compassion, unparalleled in his ability to interpret the classical Buddhist curriculum in a practical and contemporary way. Rinpoche teaches in English with translation into German.

Almut Berkane is long-time student and translator for Ugyen Rinpoche. She is trained according to the Nyingma curriculum and practices in the non-monastic Ngakpa tradition. In her seminars she makes the inspiring wisdom of Buddhism tangible in a very clear, lively and contemporary way.

Andrea Bogner

Andrea Bogner has studied and practiced Tibetan Buddhism for many years. She is co-founder of the sister association Ngakde Tyrol in Austria and manages numerous activities in the regional Sangha, regularly gives Online seminars on the 37 Practices of a Bodhisattva and meditation introductions. Andrea is member of the Ngakde board of directors.

Ryan Grigor studies and practices Tibetan Buddhism for many years. He is a student and the personal assistant of Ugyen Rinpoche. Ryan gives meditation practice introductions and philosophical explanations, answers questions about spiritual practice and gives public lectures for those interested in the Dharma. Ryan lives and works in Tyrol, Austria and introduces to the preliminary practices of the Dudjom Tersar Ngöndro.

Susanne Pöhlmann

Susanne Pöhlmann studies and practices Tibetan Buddhism for many years. She lives and works as a medical doctor in Munich, Germany. As a student of Ugyen Rinpoche, Susanne gives introductions to meditation and answers questions about spiritual practice. She has founded and leads the activities of the Regional Group Munich. Arnulf Bichler (aka Longchenthar)

Arnulf studies and practices Tibetan Buddhism under Ugyen Rinpoche guidance for over 20 years. He leads seminars, gives introductions to meditation and practice, and accompanies the dying and their relatives during this difficult time of transition. Arnulf answers questions about the spiritual path from the Tibetan Buddhist perspective of the Vajrayana path of the Nyingma lineage. Professionally, he works as an IT project manager, Scrum Master, and facilitator.
